Senior Commissioning Authority | Salt Lake City, UT at IMEG. IMEG is growing and seeks a Senior Commissioning Authority to perform the full range of Commissioning (Cx) responsibilities on all building types including large, complex projects, lead retro-commissioning and energy assessment projects, and manage related documentation and client interactions. Responsibilities

Manage and/or support multiple commissioning projects including client interface, team coordination, schedule and budget management; Manage a minimum contract value of $500,000; Perform Cx reviews of construction documents and equipment submittals; Work effectively as a team member; Develop commissioning plans, reports, pre-functional checklists, and functional performance test procedures; Assist with functional testing of systems; Contribute to improving Cx processes and best practices; Perform technical analysis of building operation (controls, sequences, etc.); Proactively communicate with a wide range of client stakeholders; Perform jobsite field observations, write detailed field reports, and lead Cx meetings; Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals; Supervise and mentor less-experienced employees in a team-based atmosphere. Required Skills/Abilities

Strong oral and written skills and a proven ability to interact professionally with a wide range of clients; Experience with HVAC and electrical system designs and operations; Experience with building automation and lighting control systems; Experience with Cx Industry Standards (ASHRAE, ACG, BCxA) and code requirements; Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (CEC Title 24, ASHRAE, IECC, IMC, NEC, etc.); Experience in the review of construction documents (mechanical, controls, plumbing and electrical drawings, specifications, etc.); Experience with electrical and fire/life safety systems; Knowledge of construction industry safety practices and procedures; Experience troubleshooting field devices and control hardware and software; Ability to self-perform functional testing of building MEP systems and coordinate non-standard test scopes such as technology, BECx, etc.; Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); Skilled with PDF editors (Bluebeam, Adobe) and online project management software; Ability to travel up to 30% (travel will depend on project needs). Education and Experience

Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required; 7 years of experience minimum, 8 preferred, in Commissioning or MEP consulting industry, or equivalent; Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification preferred. Recognized Building Commissioning Certification preferred (or ability and desire to obtain one); 11 years of experience minimum, 12 preferred, in Commissioning or MEP design consulting industry, or equivalent; This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
