Overview
Faculty position in cancer control and population sciences research. The University of Utah School of Medicine, Department of Population Health Sciences (PHS) and Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) invite applications for an open rank, tenure-track faculty position in cancer control and population sciences. We seek outstanding, collaborative scientists in areas including, but not limited to: cancer prevention (including behavioral interventions), cancer epidemiology (geographic and neighborhood contextual factors, molecular, clinical, genetic, or environmental epidemiology), cancer survivorship and health outcomes, exercise and cancer, digital health, healthcare transformation, risk communication, implementation science, rural health, and health disparities. We are particularly interested in environmental epidemiology. We seek collaborative and engaged colleagues who will advance their careers through interdisciplinary team science, working with clinicians and experts across fields.
Responsibilities (as described in the posting) The position is open rank and tenure-track. The department seeks collaborative scientists with training and expertise in the listed areas and a willingness to engage in interdisciplinary team science and collaboration with clinicians and other experts across fields. Specific duties beyond the description include pursuing high-impact research and contributing to a diverse and collaborative academic environment.
Qualifications
PhD or MD/PhD (or equivalent) for Assistant Professor level; postdoctoral training and a track record of impact and research productivity are expected.
For senior positions, a proven record of independent funding and innovative research is desired.
