The Department of Diabetes Immunology within the
Arthur Riggs Diabetes & Metabolism Research Institute (AR-DMRI)
at City of Hope is seeking a tenure-track associate or full professor. AR-DMRI is part of the
Beckman Research Institute (BRI) . Our research spans diabetes and cancer, fostering opportunities for scientific and clinical collaboration, including cross-talk among diabetes immunologists, cancer immunologists, and beta cell biologists. City of Hope also hosts the
Wanek Family Project for Type 1 Diabetes , aimed at advancing therapies for type 1 diabetes, led by
Alberto Pugliese , who joined in October 2022. The department emphasizes human type 1 diabetes and translational research. We seek a Tenure-Track Professor interested in islet autoimmunity and disease pathogenesis at preclinical and/or clinical levels, with a focus on translating insights into biomarkers, treatments, and cures for type 1 diabetes. Qualifications:
