Roles And Responsibilities
Deliver hands-on coxswain training in high-speed, low-visibility, and tactical scenarios
Instruct on vessel control, evasive maneuvers, and small craft tactics
Conduct mission-based training, ensuring proficiency in execution and safety
Develop performance assessments and after-action reports
Participate in range training, maintenance coordination, and risk mitigation
Required Qualifications
Active state driver’s license
Four (4) years of small boat/craft tactical experience in a maritime environment with proficiency in: Maritime Navigation, Tactical Boat Operations, and Military decision-making processes (Begin, Arrange, Make, Complete, Issue, Supervise (BAMCIS); Organizational and individual planning; Tactical Boat Patrol Coordination; Development and issuance of Concept of Operations, Warning Order, Patrol Order, and Mission Debriefing)
Qualified Navy Second Class Swimmer or equivalent
Line Coach (LC)/Range Safety Officer (RSO) qualifications
Record of PQS qualifications in all CORIVFOR weapons and weapon systems
Must possess one of the following:
NEC 9502/805A Instructor
NEC 9518/A12A Professional Development Instructor
Completed Journeyman Instructor Training (JIT)
Physically capable of extended field operations
Physically fit to perform maritime instruction in austere environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office and reading technical schematics
