Overview
The position of Restaurant Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the Gibsons Restaurant Group’s philosophy, which is based upon four core beliefs: Hospitality, Quality, Value and Family. This includes recruiting, leading and developing people to execute the restaurant’s philosophy; fostering a positive, stable working environment for employees; and building sales and controlling costs to deliver optimum business results for the stakeholders.

Responsibilities Participates in the community as a representative of the company.
Responds to customer complaints and resolves them in a way that ensures the customer will return again quickly and leaves every customer satisfied.
Promotes a “no-compromise” attitude towards Hospitality, Quality and Value among staff and other managers.
Executes plans based on Spotter Reports and Guest Surveys and other customer input to improve the guest experience and increase loyalty.
Coordinates with the management team to recruit, train and develop an optimum number of staff dedicated to delivering high levels of Hospitality, Quality and Value.
Demonstrates leadership behaviors to gain employee loyalty, satisfaction and pride.
Schedules staff three weeks in advance to balance personal life with restaurant coverage and labor costs.
Maintains safe and secure working conditions and protects restaurant assets.
Administers performance reviews for restaurant staff and oversees reviews with the management team.
Maintains accurate employee records in POS and timekeeping systems.
Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures and applicable laws and regulations.
Opens and closes the restaurant following established standards and checklists.
Supports restaurant goals to achieve volume growth and optimum profits.
Oversees events to maximize sales potential and deliver customer satisfaction.
Reviews financials with GM and takes action to address discrepancies to achieve profits.
Administers in-restaurant payroll and employment records procedures in conjunction with GM.
Ensures all restaurant paperwork is completed accurately and timely.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience: Minimum of a high school diploma; Bachelor’s Degree or other four-year degree preferred. Three to five years of restaurant experience with at least one year of management experience preferred.
Skills
Ability to communicate professionally (verbal and written) with the public and employees; ability to read and write English; basic math skills (including percentages); sound business decision-making; data analysis; ability to maintain composure under pressure; strong computer knowledge and ability to learn new software.
