The Opportunity
The Lifestyle Group at Hyatt is seeking a creative and passionate Senior Manager, Culture Experience and Environment to join our dynamic team in the NYC Hub. This role offers a unique opportunity to support the Brands team in shaping distinctive, design-forward hospitality experiences across Hyatt’s Lifestyle brands. Who You Are
As our ideal candidate, you understand the power and purpose of our Culture of Care and embody our core values of Empathy, Inclusion, Integrity, Experimentation, Respect, and Well-being. You enjoy working with others, are results-driven, and are looking for a variety of opportunities to develop personally and professionally. The Role
The Experience & Environment Curation + Brand Identity Specialist supports the Global Head of Culture, Experience & Environment in translating localized cultural insights into immersive guest experiences across Lifestyle Properties. This role blends creative strategy with operational execution—curating venue identities, managing environmental elements like lighting and sound, and fostering partnerships with artists and tastemakers to deliver emotionally resonant, on-brand activations. It requires strong collaboration across departments and a hands-on approach to refining guest experience in real time. Key Responsibilities
Experience & Environment Curation + Brand Identity: Support and execute the Global head of Culture, Experience & Environment’s creative vision by translating hyper-localized cultural research and conceptual narratives into immersive, operationally sound guest experiences across Lifestyle Properties. Collaborate with property teams (Nightlife, Marketing, Operations) to define and curate venue identities that reflect both the global brand ethos and the unique character of each location. Manage day-to-day programming and environment curation, ensuring fluid integration of lighting, sound, scent, and energy flow that evoke emotional resonance and foster authentic social connections. Develop and maintain partnerships within creative communities, leveraging relationships with artists, musicians, DJs, designers, and tastemakers to drive culturally relevant programming and guest activations. Implement and uphold experiential standards that align with the Global Head’s frameworks, ensuring consistency across touchpoints. Oversee the technical coordination of soundscapes, live performances, resident DJ curation, and dayparted playlists, working with FOH and technical teams to reinforce property identities. Collaborate with Marketing and PR teams to generate content that captures and promotes programming highlights, amplifying brand presence locally and internationally. Guide budgets related to experience programming, production, and event activations, ensuring financial discipline while maximizing impact and guest satisfaction. Support new property openings and major activations, delivering high-caliber training and seamless execution of environmental vision. Spend substantial time on-property to engage with teams, observe guest interactions, and refine experience delivery in real time. Communication, Leadership & Team Engagement
Serve as a cultural ambassador and mentor, inspiring programming teams to deliver on-brand guest experiences that reflect Lifestyle Properties’ core values and creative vision. Build and maintain cross-departmental relationships to ensure operational alignment. Communicate clearly and effectively with the Global Head of Culture, Experience & Environment and property leadership. Demonstrate agility and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment while balancing priorities. Maintain a professional, hospitable demeanor with colleagues and guests. Operational Support & Brand Integration
Partner with Operations to monitor and adjust lighting, temperature, sound, and staff choreography to support the desired atmosphere. Contribute to developing a dynamic lifestyle programming calendar with events, rituals, and activations. Analyze performance metrics and guest feedback to iterate programming strategies. Support strategic planning to scale the experiential vision across the global portfolio. Qualifications
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Passionate and knowledgeable about music, nightlife, and contemporary culture with a strong cultural sensibility Established network within creative communities, including artists, musicians, DJs, and tastemakers Deep understanding of environmental design elements (lighting, sound, scent, spatial flow) and their impact on guest experience Skilled collaborator and communicator with marketing, operations, and creative teams Budget and project management experience for event programming and venue production Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure while maintaining high standards Proactive leadership style with experience mentoring teams Highly professional, discreet, and culturally sensitive The salary range for this position is $132,240-$146,160.
