MTU provides maintenance from targeted hospital visits to complete overhauls on over 30+ commercial aero engine and industrial gas turbine lines and has completed more than 18,000 shop visits for over 1,400 customers worldwide. Within this Global network, MTU Maintenance Dallas provides hospital shop and on-site maintenance services.
Senior Accountant
The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing financial processes, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves analyzing complex financial data, managing budgets, and providing strategic insights to support organizational goals.
Duties/Responsibilities
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Prepare and post journal entries for various transactions, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
Ensure proper accounting for inventory, including tracking, valuation, and reporting.
Manage and maintain accurate records of fixed assets, including acquisitions, disposals, and transfers.
Required Skills/Abilities
5-7 years of experience in general accounting.
Proficient in technology, with the ability to input and manage formulas on Excel.
Flexible and adaptable to change, with the ability to thrive in a startup-like environment.
Strong collaborative skills with a proactive approach to driving change.
Demonstrates a strong desire for professional growth and development.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in Power BI.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
Experience in fixed assets accounting and inventory accounting (nice to have).
