True Worth Clinic Job Summary
The Medical Director provides leadership and administrative oversight of daily operations, including schedule development, template management, clinical management, provider engagement, patient experience, and quality improvement. Works in partnership with physicians, Vice Chair of the area, and Practice Manager, communicating about outpatient clinical activities, best practices, and protocols. Promotes a culture of collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical Performance
Assigns clinical coverage to ensure timely patient access in the ambulatory setting. Partners with Practice Managers to improve clinic efficiencies. Oversees clinical work distribution, templates, and patient access. Serves as liaison with physicians to uphold high clinical standards. Facilitates integration of physicians/providers into clinical activities. Monitors and communicates performance improvements. People Performance
Addresses team dynamics and behavior issues with leadership. Monitors provider performance and participates in evaluations. Assists in recruitment and staffing decisions. Academic and Educational Activities
Supports education and professional development of learners and staff. Financial and Growth Strategies
Collaborates on strategic planning for service expansion. Estimates future resource needs. Enhances patient access and referral relationships. Quality and Risk Management
Monitors quality and satisfaction metrics. Ensures compliance with regulations. Communicates policies and standards. Community Engagement
Participates in community education and outreach programs. Qualifications
Required: MD or DO from an accredited institution. Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Eligible for Texas medical licensure. Minimum 3 years leadership experience in a large health system. Preferred:
