The Billing Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the processing of caregiver notes, ensuring their accuracy, and preparing them for payroll and billing. This role involves communicating with caregivers regarding any necessary documentation correction or missing information and working on back-end denials for their assigned caseload.
Responsibilities
Monthly and quarterly reporting, utilizing existing spreadsheet systems Use medical management software, PDF editing software, spreadsheets, email, and other basic Microsoft applications Review medical and caregiver notes for accuracy Keep payroll deadlines and make sure all contractors are accurately paid, in collaboration with the notes processor or care team Troubleshoot problems in a timely manner Data Entry Governance Conduct review of caregiver notes to ensure information is accurate and complete Schedule unique recurring appointments for patient care Payroll and Billing Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and billing based on caregiver notes Review and work on billing denials for assigned caseload
Qualifications:
Healthcare Clerical experience preferred. Key competencies include Interpersonal Communication Skills, Deadline Driven, problem solving, Detail oriented, multi-task, critical thinking, de-escalation, and teambuilding We are seeking someone who is friendly, reliable, detail-oriented, and who enjoys working both solo and in groups. Successful Billing Coordinators meet the requirements below: Strong computer skills, specifically with Excel and Microsoft 365 applications Accuracy in work tasks Excellent reading, writing, & verbal communication skills, both in-person and over the phone Sharp memory with strong analytical ability Interest in making a difference behind the scenes for our patients and their families Must have great interpersonal skills and be a team player Must be able to handle repetitive tasks and sitting at a computer for long periods of time
Benefits:

Quality Assurance
Review and analyze reports and take corrective action as needed Monitor Plan of Care is being met Cross Reference documentation for accuracy Review and work audits to ensure data integrity Communications: Communicate with caregiver to obtain corrections or missing information as needed Provide clear instructions and guidance to caregivers regarding documentation Handle General payroll questions for caregivers Follow up promptly to ensure timely resolution of issues
Team Collaboration
Manage a case load paired with multiple individuals Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork with the Patient Coordinator role Facilitate effective communication and coordination between team members to ensure seamless and excellent continuity of services
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm
