About the role
Durham, Pittard & Spalding LLP is an appellate boutique seeking bright, motivated attorneys to join our growing team in Houston and Dallas. Our firm specializes in civil appeals and provides trial support to some of the best trial lawyers in Texas, New Mexico, and throughout the country in high-stakes, complex litigation.
We are looking for candidates who enjoy researching, writing, and presenting oral argument to trial and appellate courts. Judicial clerks or past clerkship experience is preferred. The position offers the opportunity to learn from experienced practitioners and to develop the skills of a top-notch appellate attorney.
What we’re looking for
J.D. from an accredited law school
Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas, or eligible for admission on a reasonable timeline
Strong legal research and writing skills, with meticulous attention to detail
Clear, confident oral advocacy and a collaborative working style
Preferred
Federal or state appellate judicial clerkship
3+ years of appellate or complex litigation experience
Law review or substantial writing experience
