Senior Engineer Compression Systems Aerodynamics (Onsite) at Pratt & Whitney – Middletown, CT. Onsite role located at PW102: Middletown Aircraft Rd P.O. Box 611, Middletown, CT, 06457 USA. What You Will Do
Create and assess aero designs for advanced gas turbine fans and compressors from concept initiation through detailed design, development, certification, manufacturing and post-certification. Perform airfoil and flowpath design, data analyses, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and optimization analyses. Focus is on analytical work and testing directed at the performance of compression system modules. Communicate technical progress and status to program groups, senior management, and customers. Work with the Aero-Thermal Fluids (ATF) leadership team to define and execute technology plans, establish standard work methodologies and design system enhancements. Provide leadership for the aerodynamics team in supporting Module Center and Program Systems. Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor's degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering and 5+ years of experience in aerodynamics applications; OR an advanced degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering and 3+ years of experience in aerodynamics applications. Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing. Experience working with and contributing to a cross-functional team. Role Details
