Overview
A Technician is responsible for the setup and operation of basic/small-scale audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment while ensuring complete customer satisfaction. This position reports to an Operations Manager, Operations Director or Director, Event Technology. Responsibilities
Equipment Operation: Ensure a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment as listed in the technical qualifications section. Customer Service: Strive to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers; maintain a positive relationship with all clients through effective communication; meet with guests on site to ensure that their needs are met and the equipment setup is working properly; monitor events and check in on customers throughout the day; understand and foster the hotel/client relationship. Technical Ability: Understand the technical aspects of the job and demonstrate basic operational ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with equipment and software issues; handle equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner. Systems Knowledge: Follow company processes, complete systems entry and paperwork accurately; use equipment sheets to determine scheduled equipment for setup and strike; interact with other staff and outside vendors for equipment; increase revenue by utilizing floor up-selling techniques; work with clients to finalize invoices; complete order entries in Navigator as needed. High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred. Internal applicants must meet training and certification requirements determined by Encore’s Global Learning Training Program for their current position and the position applied for. External applicants must meet/validate and complete all training and certifications required for this position within one year. 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred. 1 year of audiovisual experience or equivalent in an educational environment is preferred. A valid driver’s license is required for team members that may operate Company vehicles; additional DOT requirements may apply. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Competencies

Hotel: Work is performed in hotel/convention center environments with exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt, sand, and dust. Conditions vary from moderately quiet to noisy. Team members will use high-end audiovisual equipment and may work at multiple hotel locations, including irregular hours and on-call status (days, evenings, weekends, holidays). Appearance guidelines apply per Encore or the represented hotels. Warehouse/Event Venues: Work may occur in warehouses or event venues with similar considerations, including irregular hours and on-call status. Hourly Pay Range: $19.62 - $24.03. Final compensation is based on qualifications, location, travel, relevant experience, and skills.
