Account Manager - Life Sciences

Bio-Rad Laboratories We are seeking a highly motivated Account Manager to join our Life Sciences team, preferably based in Seattle, Washington. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and supporting Bio-Rad’s life science product portfolio to academic and non-profit organizations across the Pacific Northwest. Territory coverage includes Washington, Montana, Oregon, and Idaho. A typical day starts with responding to customer inquiries and updating opportunities in Salesforce. Field time is spent meeting with labs to advance opportunities, grow consumable usage, and strengthen customer relationships. The role also includes prospecting for new business and collaborating with Account Executives and Field Application Specialists to ensure customers are fully supported throughout the sales cycle.
How You’ll Make An Impact
Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to drive adoption of Bio-Rad’s Genomics and Proteomics solutions for both primary and secondary numbers. Product coverage includes thermal cyclers, electrophoresis and blotting systems, gel imagers, cell counters, and electroporators, as well as integrated support for ddPCR, qPCR, Western blotting, and chromatography workflows—all aimed at driving growth and exceeding sales targets.
Engage directly with academic customers through regular on-site visits to create and advance active opportunities. The expectation is to be in the field with customers 4 days a week. You will demonstrate, sell and support customers on Bio-Rad’s diverse line of consumables and small equipment.
Build and manage a healthy sales funnel by identifying, nurturing, and growing opportunities, with consistent CRM updates and accurate forecasting.
Collaborate cross-functionally with your colleagues, including your Account Executive, Field Application Specialists, and Marketing to expand Bio-Rad’s footprint and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle and in their ongoing partnership with Bio-Rad.
Maintain strong communication and technical fluency, including product knowledge, demonstration skills, and timely reporting to leadership on activities, trends, and customer needs.
What You Bring / Qualifications
Education: BA/BS in a life science discipline required; MS or PhD strongly preferred.
Work Experience: 3–5 years of sales or relevant research experience in the life sciences sector, ideally focused on Genomics and/or Proteomics consumable workflows; experience with academic and government accounts is a plus.
Strong fluency in molecular biology, gene expression, protein analysis, and related workflows.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to present complex information clearly and build lasting customer relationships.
Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce.com preferred) and Microsoft Office, with strong analytical, organizational, and territory management capabilities.

Compensation The estimated base salary range for this position is $84,300 to $116,000 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on factors including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is also eligible for quarterly commission based on assigned sales quotas.
