Overview
Environmental Project Manager I/II/Sr - ASL provides overall project management direction on a wide variety of construction and/or environmental projects. The role requires personal initiative, critical thinking, and the ability to work with minimal guidance in a schedule-driven environment. Project Managers must assemble and lead teams, demonstrate innovation, provide excellent communication, and maintain a high level of customer service. This position requires travel up to 60% within the southwest United States region. The ideal candidate will reside in the Southwestern region of the US. Salary range: $89,572-$162,539 per year (tiered). Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401(k) plan with a 3% match, PTO, company-paid holidays, and an annual performance bonus. This position will be posted for 5 days or until filled. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Review and approve detailed project/component-level plans. Manage and oversee projects, including subcontracting process and subcontractors’ activities; prepare technical evaluations on engineering specialties; identify and recommend solutions to mitigate issues during construction phases in accordance with project scope, code/practices, and Federal/State regulations. Develop and define acceptance criteria for all project phases and deliverables; monitor critical milestones and deliverables. Ensure the project stays aligned with strategic goals and delivers planned benefits. Provide engineering and technical guidance, support, coordination, and oversight to project staff preparing written documentation. Collaborate with internal groups and client organizations. Identify project risks and prepare risk response plans; communicate risks proactively to stakeholders. Identify and resolve project-level issues; manage communications between internal stakeholders, clients, and third parties. Prepare status and progress reports with metrics for stakeholders. Align project components and groups to ensure project success. Supervise construction field staff and trades; work with site superintendents on construction activities and field quality control functions. Foster a high-performance, diverse, respectful team environment and apply innovative management techniques to maximize performance. Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and security processes. Prepare and review proposals, including estimating and bid reviews; author or review contract deliverables such as submittals, work plans, safety plans, sampling and analysis plans, and reports. Support field staff as necessary. Understand corporate and industry practices and their impact on project activities. Other duties as assigned by management. Level Specific Responsibilities

Provide client assistance to program managers. Manage scope, schedule, and budget on small-sized projects. Maintain 1-2 areas of technical expertise. Technical project execution and document preparation; peer review of project documents. Assist with small-sized task orders and project proposals. Technical mentoring. Level II
Provide client assistance to program managers. Manage scope, schedule, and budget on medium-sized projects. Maintain 2 areas of technical expertise. Lead technical project execution and document preparation; peer review of project documents. Prepare medium-sized task orders and project proposals. Project staffing and technical mentoring. Senior
Business development assistance to program managers. Manage scope, schedule, and budget on large-sized projects. Maintain 2-3 areas of technical expertise. Lead technical project execution and document preparation; senior review of project documents. Prepare task orders and project proposals. Project staffing and technical mentoring. Minimum Qualifications
All levels
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geology, Construction Management, or Physical/Environmental Sciences. Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record; able to drive a company vehicle. Experience with Federal contracting. Ability to explain technical aspects of fieldwork verbally and in writing to internal and external clients. Ability to pass background checks by various Federal Agencies to obtain security access badges. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Proficiency in Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software. Level I
Three to five years of relevant experience; specialized training and/or an advanced degree (e.g., MS) may be substituted for work experience. Level II
Five to seven years of relevant experience; specialized training and/or an advanced degree may be substituted for work experience. Senior
Eight or more years of relevant experience; specialized training and/or an advanced degree may be substituted for work experience. Preferred Qualifications
