The position requires a dynamic individual with a geology background, the ability to work flexible hours (primarily Monday through Friday), and a willingness to travel periodically. The role is highly active and includes a variety of field assignments related to contaminated site characterization, monitoring, and remediation, as well as office work such as preparation of planning and reporting documents. Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations is required for higher-level position grades. The individual should be looking to advance their career and be involved with a diversity of assignments including, but not limited to, sampling groundwater, soil, sediment, surface water, and air for environmental contaminants; gathering and recording environmental data; oversight of groundwater monitoring well installation; classifying soils; use of global positioning systems; tabulating data; and preparing work plans and field reports. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Conducting contaminated site characterization, monitoring, and remediation field assessments safely and in accordance with work plans. Traveling in aircraft (jets, small planes, and helicopters), motor vehicles, ATVs, and/or watercraft to perform fieldwork, site visits, or meetings. Field screening and sampling for contaminants and environmental parameters in a variety of media in accordance with standard operating procedures, guidance, and regulations. Overseeing the installation and development of borings and monitoring/extraction wells using a variety of drilling methods (mud rotary, air rotary, sonic, and hollow stem auger). Classifying soils using the USCS. Documenting field operations, including personnel on site, equipment on site, weather, environmental data, and operational data using photography, legible field notes and forms, and tablets. Communicate with project managers via phone, email, and daily reports. Examining and inspecting work progress, equipment, and job sites to verify safety and to ensure that project specifications are met. Scheduling and overseeing subcontractors. Adhering to schedule and financial objectives as specified by project managers. Assisting or leading the preparation of proposals, planning documents, and reports. Authoring and reviewing technical documents such as work plans and reports. Performing other duties as assigned by management. Level Specific Responsibilities

Level III (may include but not limited to) Provide client and project assistance to program and project managers; adhere to scope, schedule, and budget on projects Maintain 2 areas of technical expertise Lead teams performing project tasks, both in the office and field locations Lead technical project execution and document preparation, peer review project documents Assist with task order and project proposals Provide project staffing and technical mentoring Manage smaller projects involving site characterization, long-term monitoring, and similar tasks 20% - 40% of the time may be spent conducting fieldwork, potentially in remote locations Level Senior (may include but not limited to) Provide client and project assistance to program and project managers; adhere to scope, schedule, and budget on projects Maintain 2-3 areas of technical expertise Lead technical project execution and document preparation, senior review project documents Prepare task orders and project proposals Provide project staffing and technical mentoring Manage projects involving site characterization, long-term monitoring, and similar tasks 10% - 25% of the time may be spent conducting fieldwork, potentially in remote locations Minimum Qualifications

All levels: Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or geological sciences Ability to pass background checks by various Federal Agencies (e.g., DoD, DHS, FAA, etc.) to obtain security access badges Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record, able to drive a company vehicle Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint Online Adept at explaining technical aspects of fieldwork to internal and external clients verbally and in writing Level III: Five (5) to Seven (7) years of relevant professional working experience, specialized training, and/or an advanced degree, such as an MS, may be substituted for work experience Level Senior: Eight (8) or more years of relevant professional working experience, specialized training, and/or an advanced degree, such as an MS, may be substituted for work experience Registered Professional Geologist Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in other programs such as Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, GIS, databases, and environmental modeling programs Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher CPR/1st Aid/AED Certified Experience working on projects for USACE, AFCEC, and other DoD/Federal clients Experience and knowledge of Alaska Native cultures Core Competencies

Frequent lifting, sitting, standing, stooping for prolonged periods, using hands/fingers requiring dexterity, should have good hand-eye coordination and motion control in coordination with handling tools, equipment, and other related components Reaching with hands and arms for items above and below sight level, talking, hearing, and seeing (up close, at a distance, along the periphery, with depth, color perception, and the ability to adjust focus); walking from place to place within the project location with occasional use of stairs and no elevator available; bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for up to 10 hours. Required Bachelors or better in Geology. Experience
