The position will be responsible for executing client work by serving as an outsourced accounting resource for growth-stage companies in a variety of industries. It is anticipated that the position will be assigned to handle multiple client engagements simultaneously. Duties & Responsibilities
Implement and oversee month end financial preparation and close and ensure timely delivery of financial statements and reporting packages Review and approve staff accountant’s work product including but not limited to: bank reconciliations, month end workpapers and checklists, financial statements, etc. Monitor, manage and communicate changes in client cash and financial position to senior management Oversee completion of budget and planning process Track key performance metrics Complete or ensure the accurate completion of tax reporting Serve as key point of contact for external audits Familiar with and ensure accuracy of financial information in various financial software systems Oversee the activities of the corporate accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial reporting including internal and external financial statements, budgets, forecasts and analysis; provide mentoring and ensure clear communication Oversee the disbursement activities, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, employee expense reports, cash controls, payroll processing and total corporate payroll tax compliance Oversee the accounts receivable activities to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings, cash receipts and collections Establish and maintain systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the Company’s value Supervise multiple senior and staff accountants on multiple engagements Analyze monthly/quarterly operations and financial performance; provide variance analysis and explanations; and complete ad hoc analyses as requested Deliver timely financial intelligence and facilitate understanding of the cost structure of business units supported Responsible for debt administration and covenant compliance calculations Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 4+ years of professional experience in the role outlined above Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence decision-makers Results-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently Compensation & Benefits
