Job Summary: The primary responsibility of the Assistant Athletic Trainer is to assist the Pacifica Christian Athletic Department in after-school practice and game coverage. Job Requirements & Primary Responsibilities
Daily/Weekly Duties include but are not limited to: Provide ATC coverage for team practices after school Prevention, evaluation and rehabilitation of athletic injuries Updating documentation into SportsWare Online (SWOL) Daily communication with the Head Athletic Trainer and/or Assistant Athletic Director of Sports Medicine & Campus Health Support the Athletic Department with general duties Attend all home matches, and select away matches during each season's sporting events Attend Selected Student Life-related activities when Athletic Trainer coverage is necessary Assist with Baseline Concussion testing for student-athletes Monitor practices and game and perform practice/game evaluations when necessary Requirements & Qualifications
Previous experience in High School Athletics, College Athletics, Sports Medicine or related field is necessary Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Kinesiology, Biology or a related field. (Masters Degree in Education, Non-Profit Leadership, Educational Leadership, Sports Management, Sports Medicine, or a related field preferred) NATABOC Certified Adequate knowledge and understanding of High School Age Students, Sports Medicine, and High School Athletics Requires standing for long periods of time Requires lifting and moving of items upwards of fifty pounds Must be CPR/First Aid/AED Certified Must be 21 years or older Must have a valid CA Driver’s License Must be willing to take and pass a background check Pacifica Christian High School is an equal opportunity employer and is required by law to perform background checks on selected qualified candidates.
