Responsibilities

The Research Analysis Support shall provide focused analysis of CI, CT, counterespionage (CE), insider threat (IT) and cyber CI investigations in support of the CI Investigative Mission. Conduct analysis using intelligence and information from multiple sources to assess, interpret, forecast, and explain a range of national security issues and developments that are regional or functional in nature. Provide all-source analytic support to collections, operations, investigations, and other defense intelligence analytic requirements. Analyze incoming reporting and referrals from across the US Intelligence Community and from CI investigative, operational, collection and targeting results. This analysis shall provide data for the CCICA to effectively scope potential leads and determine the appropriate CI response (investigation or other CI mission). Enable CCICA to supervise highly sensitive national security investigations and provide senior Army leaders, investigative managers and field agents with appropriate perspective on threats to the US Army for use in decision making. Evaluate multiple analytical efforts related to major and ongoing national security investigations for redundancy and provide written reports to Government Team/Branch/Division Chiefs. Identify and disseminate Foreign Intelligence Element Modus Operandi by conducting in-depth reviews of historical CONUS-based CI investigations and provide periodic analytical updates on major investigations currently underway.

Required Qualifications / Skills

Education and experience options: High School Diploma: 30 years of relevant experience, with at least a portion in the last 2 years. Associates Degree: 24 years of relevant experience, with at least a portion in the last 2 years. Bachelor’s Degree: 22 years of relevant experience, with at least a portion in the last 2 years. Master’s Degree or higher: 20 years of relevant experience, with at least a portion in the last 2 years. Must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and experience as an all-source intelligence analyst with completion of a foundational intelligence analyst course such as a DOD Intelligence Analyst Course, 35F Army All Source Intelligence Analyst course (or equivalent), DHS Basic Intelligence and Threat Analysis Course, ODNI Analysis 101, or a Certified Defense All-Source Analysis (CDASA) professional certification. Must have at least eight years of experience providing intelligence support to counterintelligence investigations and/or counterintelligence source operations. Demonstrated expertise in fusing multidisciplined tools and databases for all-source analysis production in support of counterintelligence functions. Must be able to work independently and as a team member in a high-operational-tempo environment.
