The selected PhD student will join a dynamic research team at Mälardalen University, specializing in multiphase flow analysis and modeling. The primary goal is to develop advanced, physics-based methods in fluid dynamics and heat transfer to study multiphase flow phenomena. A distinctive aspect of this project is the application of machine learning and computer vision to enhance data analysis, pattern recognition, and predictive modeling. Qualifications: – A Master’s degree (MSc) in mechanical engineering, thermal engineering, or a related field with a strong focus on fluid dynamics, energy systems, heat transfer processes, multiphase flows, or similar areas. – A deep understanding of the physics and dynamics of fluid and thermal systems. – Proficiency in programming and data analysis tools, such as Python and MATLAB (or equivalent). – Excellent proficiency in English, both spoken and written. Additional, highly valued qualifications include: – Experience with multiphase flows and advanced modeling methods. – Strong expertise in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics, with both theoretical and practical experience. – Experience in machine learning and AI, especially deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, and their application in fluid dynamics and heat transfer research.
