The Division of Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics at Cincinnati Children’s seeks to recruit a full-time

Dentist Anesthesiologist

faculty member at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The successful candidate will partner with world-class pediatric dental faculty to provide advanced anesthesia and pain management for dental and oral surgeries. Clinically, the practice environment includes over 30,000 visits per year across 2 clinics and 4 operating room sites. The division maintains a busy level 1 trauma service and is committed to excellence in resuscitation procedures and team-based care. Responsibilities

The dentist anesthesiologist will: Provide anesthesia care in the operating room and in-office general anesthesia suites for pediatric dental patients. Be involved in education of pediatric dental residents both didactically and clinically. Contribute to the division’s mission to care for hospitalized, fragile, immunocompromised patients, including those with special needs, and serve as a regional safety-net provider for underserved populations. Qualifications

Required: D.M.D. or D.D.S. from an accredited dental school Board-certified or board-eligible in Dental Anesthesiology Accredited dental anesthesiology residency completion PALS/BLS/ACLS Experience working with pediatric patients and patients with special needs Current active dental license issued by the State of Ohio or eligible for license Appropriate credentialing through the Medical Staff Services offices Completion of all required pre-employment activities (screening, background check, badging, and orientation) Assistant or Associate Professor appointment or eligibility required Preferred: Board certification To be considered, applications must be complete and include the following: Cover letter indicating intent and professional goals, including but not limited to: Statement of Teaching and Mentoring Statement of Research Statement of Service Curriculum Vitae (CV) Three professional references with contact information Early applications are encouraged; interviews will be granted on a rolling basis.
