Overview
Associate Accountant - Plant at Energy Transfer. This position will be responsible for calculating liquid and gas settlements for the generation of producer payments on assigned systems through TIPS. Responsibilities
Calculate liquid and gas settlements for the generation of producer payments on assigned systems through TIPS. Generate sales invoices and track payments. Monthly review of accounts receivable aging relating to specific assets. Process monthly journal entries and prepare detailed monthly gross margin reports. Track monthly imbalances by validating measurement volumes against scheduled volumes and against third party pipeline statements. Process and distribute settlement statements, imbalance statements, operator statements to the appropriate counterparties. Assist customers with settlement related questions. Maintain and update company changes and address changes in TIPS. Calculate truck settlements including preparation of monthly settlements, processing journal entries, and margin reports. Education and experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of midstream accounting and related software desired. Strong computer skills; ability to work in a team, with attention to detail, and good communication. Experience levels
The Associate Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 0-2 years of relevant job related experience. The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience. The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience. Working conditions
Usually, normal office working conditions. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing. Occasional overnight travel may be required. Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, with exposure to various materials and chemicals, extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and required personal protective equipment.
