Overview
Corporate Tax Sr Associate - Methods, Credits, & Incentives at Grant Thornton (US). This role focuses on implementing and executing R&D tax credit, accounting method, and fixed asset studies for clients, with opportunities to lead, develop, and mentor engagement teams, and potentially participate in related marketing and sales activities to ensure projects meet firm standards, deadlines, and budgets. Responsibilities
Assist in conducting client engagement fieldwork: visit client locations, investigate relevant facts, analyze accounting information, perform tax computations, and prepare written memorandums summarizing findings. Participate in multiple client projects simultaneously and contribute to ongoing professional development and training. Collaborate with MC&I leadership and utilize specialized tax resources. Engage in related marketing and sales activities as appropriate while ensuring quality and timely delivery. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field. Master's or Ph.D. in Accounting or Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Financial Engineering, Management Science and Engineering, Financial Mathematics, Industrial Engineering or Operations Research preferred. CPA or a legal background (J.D., LLM) preferred. Two years of relevant work experience in a Tax environment; experience in a Big 4 or comparable public accounting or consulting firm preferred. Intermediate understanding of tax return mechanics. Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines; good data analysis and summarization abilities; proven teamwork capability. Willingness to work additional hours and travel to client sites as required. About Us
