Join to apply for the Tax Supervisor / Manager role at WhiteCap Search. The base pay range is $135,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr. This hybrid role is located in Manhattan, NY. The person will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations, ensuring GAAP compliance, supporting tax planning and compliance efforts, and managing and reviewing complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulatory guidelines. This hybrid role offers strong long-term growth potential and a clear path to Partnership.
Base pay range $135,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Prepare and review financial statements, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
Perform month-end close duties, including balance sheet reconciliations and cash forecasting.
Compile and analyze financial data to support general ledger entries and document business transactions.
Prepare and review corporate, partnership, fiduciary, and complex individual tax returns.
Respond to tax authority inquiries and conduct tax research to support compliance.
Advise clients on tax planning strategies and business best practices to reduce their effective tax rate.
Communicate engagement progress, issues, and solutions to clients through written and verbal updates.
Qualifications
5 years of public accounting experience, preferably with a focus on property accounting.
Experience in the real estate and/or construction industry is preferred.
Strong background in both accounting and tax is highly desirable.
