General Hotels Corporation is seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager. This role is responsible for all aspects of accounting for the corporate business, including investment companies, development, and construction activities, and will oversee the day-to-day operations of the company's financial records. The Accounting Manager is also responsible for developing and leading direct reports and should have experience in management, goal setting, and performance reviews.
Responsibilities
Acts as the primary Business Partner for the Corporate teams. Supports business initiatives and gives guidance on accounting matters. Accountable for all Corporate and investment entity reporting packages, including monthly and annual financial packages. Balances intercompany financial accounting. Leads accounting efforts on all Construction and Development closings. Responsible for all Construction and Owner financial statement preparation, including reviewing draws and creating process improvements to create the most seamless and simple system for processing draws and getting timely payment to subs. Works collaboratively with all departments to create accurate, timely dashboards with integrated department and accounting system data. Drives the business to generate and best use cash. Partners with Finance teams to forecast NOI and cash needs. Creates and maintains internal compliance policies. Coaches, mentors, and manages team members. Acts as delegate for the VP Finance and other finance or construction leadership. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar focus of study 3-5 years of public or private accounting experience with progressive responsibilities Experience building and managing teams Construction experience, including purchase orders, subcontracts, WIP reporting, AIA billings, and construction financial statement preparation preferred CPA preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office (including advanced Excel skills) and ability to quickly learn accounting software Strong communication and team skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment A proven work history of managing multiple deadlines, offering exemplary customer service and teamwork characteristics with customers, project personnel, and coworkers.
