Job Description:
The PPO Garage Part Shop Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of salaried bargaining and non-bargaining work teams in completing vehicle retrofits, builds, and/or part fabrication.
Responsibilities:
This role directly supports daily production.
The supervisor is responsible for troubleshooting problems as they arise and allocating resources and manpower accordingly to resolve issues without impact to shop throughput performance.
Responsible for manpower management and leading safety, quality, and cost initiatives for the shop, with regular updates to leadership.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of automotive experience.
Knowledge and application of lean manufacturing principles.
Ability to direct the workforce and achieve results.
Experience resolving employee conflicts professionally and with integrity.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Ability to work any shift and overtime as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment focused on production control.
Experience working in a unionized environment.
Education:
High School Diploma required.
