Overview

The Associate Vice President of Identity and Access Management (IAM) is a senior technology leader responsible for establishing and driving the enterprise-wide strategy, governance, and execution of identity, authentication, and access management capabilities. This role ensures that digital identities, privileged accounts, and access rights are managed securely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. The AVP leads the design and implementation of scalable IAM solutions, including single sign-on (SSO), multifactor authentication (MFA), privileged access management (PAM), role-based access controls (RBAC), and identity lifecycle management. Partnering with business leaders, security, compliance, and IT teams, the AVP balances security with user experience to ensure environments are secure and meet regulatory requirements. This leader oversees IAM operations, technology selection, and vendor management while driving innovation, automation, and continuous improvement in access controls. The AVP also plays a critical role in risk management, audit readiness, and incident response related to identity and access. Essential Functions

Define and drive the enterprise IAM vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, cybersecurity goals, and regulatory requirements. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on identity security, access governance, and digital trust. Oversee IAM operations, including user provisioning, authentication, access reviews, role-based access control (RBAC), and privileged access management (PAM). Lead the deployment and optimization of IAM technologies such as SSO, MFA, IGA (Identity Governance & Administration), PAM, and directory services across the global brands and operating units, ensuring high availability, scalability, and resilience of IAM systems supporting cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IAM team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability. Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service-level agreements for IAM products and services. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred). 12+ years of IT and cybersecurity experience, including 8+ years in IAM leadership roles. CISSP, CISM certification or equivalent Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proven track record implementing enterprise-scale IAM solutions across hybrid environments. Executive-level communication and decision-making. Risk-based approach to identity and access management. Strong program management and change management capabilities. Collaboration across business (HR, Legal, etc), IT, and security functions. Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation Physical Demands

Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area. Benefits

Paid Time Off

Holidays – All full-time and part-time with benefits employees receive days off for 8 company-wide holidays, plus 2 additional floating holidays to be taken at the employee’s discretion. Vacation Time – All full-time employees at the manager and below level start with 14 days/year; director and above level start with 19 days/year. Part-time with benefits employees receive time off based on the number of hours they work, with a minimum of 84 hours/year. All employees gain additional vacation time with further tenure. Sick Time – All full-time employees receive 80 hours of sick time each year. Part-time with benefits employees receive time off based on the number of hours they work, with a minimum of 60 hours each year.
