S4 Plan/IBP Consultant || Raritan, NJ – Hybrid || Fulltime || 10 - 16 years of experience Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
In-depth understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and its planning modules, including Production Planning (PP), Material Management (MM), and Integrated Business Planning (IBP). Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP), including participation in at least 2 full-cycle projects (from initiation to closure). Proficient in SAP IBP functionalities, including Demand Planning, Supply Planning, S&OP, MRP, and DRP. Strong knowledge and experience in configuring and customizing planning processes within SAP S/4HANA and IBP to align with business requirements. Experience with master data management, including Material Master, Bill of Materials (BOM), and Routing configurations. Knowledge of supply chain processes such as demand planning, supply planning, production scheduling, and best practices. Familiarity with SAP Fiori applications related to planning and user interface design principles. Ability to conduct system testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that configurations meet business needs. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of conducting fit-gap analysis and providing viable solutions. Proficiency in business process modeling and documentation using tools such as BPMN or SAP Solution Manager. Experience with performance monitoring and optimization of planning processes and relevant key performance indicators (KPIs). Understanding of integration points between SAP S/4HANA and other SAP modules (e.g., SD, MM, WM) and external systems. Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies and collaborative working environments. Ability to act as a liaison among stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, and validate requirements, ensuring changes to business processes meet testing requirements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders and facilitate workshops for requirement gathering. Experience with SAP IBP integration with other SAP modules and external systems. Knowledge of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics used in supply chain management. Ability to lead onsite and offshore teams, ensuring effective collaboration and project execution. Roles & Responsibilities
Engage with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements related to both SAP S/4HANA and IBP functionalities. Configure SAP IBP and S/4HANA solutions to meet business needs, including planning models, forecasting parameters, and analytics setup. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration of SAP IBP and S/4HANA with other SAP modules and external systems. Develop and execute testing scenarios, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT), to validate system configurations. Document user requirements (URS) and create comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, process flows, and technical designs, adhering to internal procedures. Maintain and support specific SAP IBP and S/4HANA solutions for key users, providing 2nd and 3rd line support as needed. Conduct training sessions and workshops for end-users to enhance their understanding of SAP IBP and S/4HANA features and best practices. Analyze new business requirements and changes to existing functionalities for small, medium-sized, and ongoing enhancement projects. Translate user requirements into functional and technical designs, ensuring proper configuration and detailed testing scenarios are defined. Identify areas for process improvement within the SAP IBP and S/4HANA frameworks and recommend actionable solutions. Coordinate and lead project activities for both onsite and offshore teams, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones. Track and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to planning processes and supply chain operations, recommending improvements as necessary.
