Overview Job Summary and Responsibilities: Is expected to perform duties in alignment with the mission and policies of the organization. Performs duties in support of and in compliance with the performance improvement plan, TJC and other licensing, accrediting and regulatory agencies. Through the use of accepted techniques and practices, provides high quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging studies. Through safe operation and care of equipment ensures proper safety of patients to high magnetic fields and Diagnostic MRI procedures. Ensures safety of patients by following established guidelines for MRI procedure protocols and IV contrast administration. Communicates effectively with ancillary areas and internal staff. Able to evaluate, coordinate, and execute responsibilities under pressure situations. Has the initiative to resolve customer problems by self, and involves supervisors as necessary. Provides professional and quality care to patients from neonates to geriatrics while following hospital policies, procedures and standards. Performs other duties as assigned. Responsibilities

Perform high quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging studies using accepted techniques and practices.

Operate MRI equipment safely to ensure patient safety in high magnetic fields and during Diagnostic MRI procedures.

Follow established guidelines for MRI procedure protocols and IV contrast administration.

Communicate effectively with ancillary areas and internal staff.

Evaluate, coordinate, and execute duties under pressure; resolve customer problems and involve supervisors as needed.

Provide professional and quality care to patients from neonates to geriatrics in accordance with hospital policies, procedures and standards.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

One year of experience as an MRI technologist in a full service Radiology/MRI Department.

MRI Safety Computer skills for operating within RIS/HIS/PACS; medical terminology; good communication skills.

Ability to successfully complete job related communication and arithmetic calculations.

Certification in MRI by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT MR) is required.

Current BLS card.

Certification in Radiological Technology issued by State of California (CRT) preferred; California Fluoroscopic permit preferred; Venipuncture/IV contrast Administration Certificate preferred.

Pay Range $66.49 - $66.49 /hour
