Full-Time / Day Shift Sign-on Bonus:
$6,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment – in addition to Providence’s benefits and compensation package that begin on your first day of employment.
Responsibilities
Perform cardiac ultrasound examinations according to physician orders using a variety of ultrasound equipment. Objectively identify the presence or absence of disease with strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Assist physicians with invasive echocardiography examinations, including but not limited to: Transesophageal echocardiography Trans-catheter echo guided procedures (location specific) Pericardiocentesis Echo-guided myocardial biopsies (location specific) Contrast-enhanced exams Exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiography Modify procedures to meet special circumstances and provide clinically useful information in a cost-effective manner. Comply with American Society of Echocardiography standards and departmental policies and procedures. This position includes shared standby and on-call coverage for evenings and weekends, with possible regional coverage to other Portland facilities and rotation through weekend shifts.
Qualifications
Required qualifications: Oregon Sonographer credential (Upon hire) or National Registered Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International or National Advanced Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International or National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography National Provider BLS - American Heart Association (Upon hire) Preferred qualifications: Associate's Degree in Applied Science in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography from a CAAHEP-accredited program 1 year of cardiovascular ultrasound experience, or a minimum of 800 exams across imaging modalities Pediatric echocardiography experience Familiarity with imaging support for advanced heart failure patients (mechanical support devices) Experience with echo-guided trans-catheter procedures

Pay Range: $44.67 - $69.35 per hour. The base pay range reflects the expected compensation for this role; additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, bonuses, and related incentives.
