What We’re Doing Our team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) team at Lockheed Martin, is dedicated to engineering, developing, and integrating new capabilities for the Missile Defense System that protects the United States and its allies. We operate within smaller, agile teams in a fast-paced environment. Our responsibilities include Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security, and enhancing missile defense technologies. The Work The Interface Engineer will lead in authoring ICDs and IDDs, establishing new interfaces between external elements, including sensors, and other Command and Control Systems. Responsibilities include ensuring ICDs and IDDs meet program standards, developing behavioral diagrams, creating detailed requirements in DOORS, and supporting system integration and testing efforts. The role involves attending interface working group meetings with MDA and external engineering teams, supporting other interface development tasks, and ensuring interface artifacts are completed timely. Please Note This position requires a U.S. government security clearance; you must be a U.S. Citizen. Approximately 10% travel to customer sites across the U.S. is expected. Who We Are Lockheed Martin leads the C2BMC team, partnering with industry to develop and deploy the missile defense backbone. Our team supports the design, development, testing, integration, and fielding of hardware and software essential for the Missile Defense System, with opportunities to work directly with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
