DDD provides services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families that are flexible, high quality, and member driven. The Department of Economic Security, Division of Developmental Disabilities, is seeking an Independent Oversight Committee Liaison to work with individuals with developmental disabilities and their families, providing services and supports that are flexible, high quality, and member driven. Applicants for this position cannot be licensed or certified by the DDD Office of Licensing Certification and Regulation, cannot have a principal interest in or have a spouse or close family with principal interest in a DDD Qualified Vendor Agreement, and cannot be employed or subcontracted by a DDD Qualified Vendor. Responsibilities

Prepares meeting agendas, notices, minutes and volunteer time sheets. Attends meetings and serves as a principal resource regarding current program policy and decisions to clarify information, resolve problems, and advise; does not attend as a voting member. Coordinates with DDD Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure committee members have access to incident reports of suspected abuse, neglect, exploitation and any supporting documentation to identify human rights violations; tracks incident reports monthly. Coordinates and tracks all requests for additional information by members with DDD QA staff. Trains new members and provides ongoing training to current members. Ensures all members maintain current volunteer paperwork with the DES Volunteer Program. Responds to, tracks, and elevates issues or concerns raised by members. Collects and analyzes data and information to prepare reports and ensures timely completion of assigned projects related to the Division and its members. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs)

Knowledge

in: • DDD Service Delivery Systems and Arizona Long Term Care Services • Effective management principles and statistical methods • Unusual Incident Reports, investigative reports, licensing standards Skills

in: • Written and oral communication; interpersonal relationships and diplomacy with diverse groups • Researching, data compilation and comprehensive reporting • Developing, organizing and coordinating systems to improve service quality • Using computer systems for tracking and report writing (e.g., Google Docs, Google Sheets, DDD Focus) • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships • Group training and facilitation Abilities

in: • Interpreting and applying federal, state and local laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to individuals with developmental disabilities • Maintaining strict confidentiality; working independently with a diverse group • Working with committees to ensure proper policies and procedures are followed • Organizing information quickly and logically; articulating complex arguments and resolving conflicts • Interpreting and analyzing Division data to determine strategies; presenting information clearly • Working at an expeditious pace with changing priorities and multi-tasking; attention to detail with a global perspective Selective Preference

The ideal candidate will have: • BA/BS in Education or related field; preferably at least 1 year of Case Management/Support Coordination experience • Experience with report writing and managing diverse groups of people Pre-Employment Requirements
