Job Title:

Environmental Project Engineer Position Overview: The Project Engineer is responsible for managing environmental investigation and remediation projects, with additional responsibilities in technical proposal development, field supervision, and staff management. This role requires strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, along with the ability to deliver technically sound solutions and maintain client relationships. Experience in environmental due diligence and cross-disciplinary collaboration is essential, with opportunities to contribute to business development and team growth. Key Responsibilities: Manage environmental investigation and remediation projects, ensuring technical quality and regulatory compliance. Perform complex environmental analyses within broader engineering projects. Supervise field activities and ensure accurate interpretation of findings. Oversee project budgets, schedules, and deliverables to meet client expectations. Prepare and edit technical proposals, reports, and other project documentation. Support business development by identifying new opportunities and expanding existing client relationships. Provide direct oversight, coaching, and development of junior staff. Participate in interviewing and hiring for environmental project teams. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across office locations as needed. Maintain professional communication with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or Environmental Engineering (Master's degree preferred). PE, CHMM, and/or QEP certification. 6+ years of relevant experience in environmental investigation and remediation. Proficiency in environmental due diligence. Strong project management and client-facing skills. Excellent technical writing, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Experience supervising field activities and mentoring staff. Business development experience is a plus. Seniority level
