contract pursuant to Article 24 of Law No. 240/2010 (hereinafter ‘Tenure Track Assistant Professor contract”) for a nonrenewable six-year term; full-time job; academic-discipline group (gruppo scientifico-disciplinare) 12/GIUR-11 - Comparative Law; academic-discipline field (settore scientifico-disciplinare) GIUR-11/A - Comparative Private Law; competition code (codice concorso) GIUR-RTT25%-09/2025; specific functions: the successful candidate will be employed at the Department of Law. The selected assistant professor will undertake teaching and research duties in harmony with the academic-discipline field of the call and with the main research lines of the University, its Research Centers, and the Schools, on themes of principles of comparative private law (private and business), in light of the needs for internationalization of teaching and scientific research activities. He/She will have to be able to teach in Italian as well as in English. Teaching, supplementary teaching and student service activities will consist of 350 hours per year, of which 90 hours per year will be dedicated to frontal teaching activities. The teaching activity will be carried out as part of the planning of undergraduate, single-cycle and graduate’s degree courses of the University and will consist in carrying out lectures, exercises and theoretical-practical activities, assistance during exams, in any teaching assignments assigned as an institutional task, according to the provisions and within the limits of the law. The teaching activity will be carried out with reference to the relevant academic-discipline field of the call (GIUR-11/A –Comparative private law). In particular, specific teaching and scientific research activities may focus on the following topics: evolution and comparison of legal systems; comparison of the evolution of civil and business law instruments across different jurisdictions; comparative analysis of the impact of technological innovation and sustainability on the evolution of civil and business law instruments in different jurisdictions; analysis of international trade law instruments and comparison with corresponding solutions in different jurisdictions; analysis of instruments for the unification, uniformity, and harmonization of private and business law.
