Overview

The School of Physical Therapy at Touro University Nevada is seeking dedicated and qualified individuals to join our team of adjunct faculty members. As an adjunct faculty member, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of physical therapy professionals. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute your expertise, engage with students, and foster a culture of excellence in teaching, research, and clinical practice. This is a pooled position from which adjunct faculty will be hired. As openings occur, we will draw candidates from this pool. Applicants whose expertise meets the program's needs will be contacted.

Responsibilities

Delivering high-quality instruction in physical therapy courses.

Designing and developing course content in collaboration with primary instructors.

Facilitating engaging learning experiences that promote critical thinking and evidence-based practice.

Evaluating student performance and providing feedback.

Mentoring and advising students.

Engaging in professional development activities.

Qualifications

Doctoral degree (Ph.D., DPT, or equivalent) in Physical Therapy or related field.

Current Nevada license to practice physical therapy.

Experience in clinical practice, research, and/or teaching.

Preferred: teaching experience in higher education.

Expertise in pediatrics, cardiopulmonary, integumentary, or acute care populations.

Excellent communication skills.

Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Strong organizational skills.

Willingness to adopt innovative teaching methods.

Skills & Abilities

Strong knowledge in a physical therapy area.

Ability to work collaboratively.

Interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for student development.
