The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria (UICOMP) seeks a Pediatric Ophthalmology candidate for a full-time position as Assistant/Associate/Professor in the Section of Pediatric Ophthalmology. This position will be for direct patient care as well as teach residents and medical students and be engaged in research. Position Summary The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria (UICOMP) seeks a Pediatric Ophthalmology candidate for a full-time position as Assistant/Associate/Professor in the Section of Pediatric Ophthalmology. Duties & Responsibilities
Provide Pediatric Ophthalmology patient care in a clinical setting. Provide patient care to adult patients with strabismus. Provide in-patient care to pediatrics patients in the Children's Hospital of Illinois. Screen and treatment of premature neonatal patients for Retinopathy of Prematurity. Participate in teaching medical students, residents and other health professionals. Perform other duties of a University faculty member including committee assignments, curriculum development, student counseling and administration. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
MD/DO degree Eligible for licensure in Illinois BC/BE in Ophthalmology 3 years Ophthalmology Residency and 1 year AAPOS Approved Pediatric Ophthalmology Fellowship About University of Illinois College of Medicine, Peoria (UICOMP) Department of Pediatrics and OSF Healthcare Children’s Hospital of Illinois:
