Job Description Summary The Credit Controller will lead the credit account team responsible for PayPal’s expanding Global Consumer and Merchant loan portfolios. Key responsibilities include the quarterly CECL allowance process, ongoing loan portfolio externalizations, and special projects such as product launches, system migrations, and broader finance automation initiatives. This is a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent projects. The role requires ensuring accurate financial information in line with US GAAP, reviewing all Credit-related SEC reporting, managing audits, and partnering with cross-functional business leaders. Strong leadership, technical expertise, and attention to detail are essential.
Essential Responsibilities
Manage a team of financial controllers and ensure their effective performance
Perform risk assessments and identify improvements in the control and risk management framework
Develop and maintain accounting and reporting processes in compliance with laws and regulations
Monitor Key Performance Indicators and Key Risk Indicators to drive operational performance
Ensure regulatory compliance of outsourced activities
Manage the month end close process and present reports to senior leadership
Help shape the strategy for the CAO and finance, influencing decision making across the enterprise
Expected Qualifications
Minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent

CPA Required
Experience in credit or banking industry required
Compensation and Benefits U.S. national annual pay range: $152,500 to $262,350. Actual compensation is based on location, skills, and experience.
