Primary Purpose of Job The incumbent is responsible for designing SAP solutions to business needs in the SAP SD/MM area, providing functional support and business analysis. Deliver projects to enhance the current state according to system and infrastructure requirements. Maintain production support for business process enhancements and interfaces to/from SAP modules/applications. Design and perform testing to ensure systems work as expected. Work closely with functional and technical architects, business systems analysts and developers to design and implement flexible, scalable, and reusable solutions that meet business needs in a timely manner. The current SAP environment includes many custom IDoc interfaces, so familiarity with this setup is important for quick resolution. Also involved is testing across a multi-client and multi-SAP system setup, including regression testing for different business units. Responsibilities Gather and document business requirements, formulate use cases, participate in solution design, project communications, training materials, and business procedures/documentation. Communicate with business users to understand requirements and translate them into Functional Specification documents. Provide technical expertise in defining development requirements, technical user training and support for solution development across SAP modules. Analyze functional and technical needs, identify gaps and alternative solutions relative to existing design. Evaluate impact of configuration or process changes across SD and other SAP modules. Provide functional expertise in defining business requirements, integration testing, user training and support for SAP Systems in SD and MM modules. Provide support and guidance to the business on continuous improvement, interfaces, and reporting. Integrate SAP solutions with other internal systems and software applications including Central MM (Primus), a global financial system (CoFiCo), warehouse management (EWM), and forecast and planning system (SPP). Support large project initiatives (e.g., Primus Direct, Global Planning, FSL, System upgrades) and provide background knowledge to business teams and central teams (Germany/NAFTA/India) to ensure industry best practices, compliance, efficiencies, and accuracy in project implementation. Qualifications Requirements & Conditions Must be able to work flexible hours/work schedule, including holidays, weekends, and travel as needed. Education: Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent work experience) with emphasis in: Business Management, Computer/Information Science, Information Technology Management, Information System (MIS), Logistics (SD & MM), or related fields. 10+ years of experience as a functional analyst supporting Order to Cash and Procure to Pay, with strong understanding of Finance and resolving out-of-balance issues between Logistics and Financial systems. Functional Expertise: Proficient SAP SD knowledge and thorough SAP SD/MM customizations, Master Data, Pricing, OTC Processes, Procure to Pay Processes, SAP Reports, SAP ALE/EDI (IDOC) expertise; strong SD knowledge including Shipping, Billing, Pricing, invoicing, sales orders, returns, credit management; knowledge of interfaces SD/FI, SD/MM and the sales information system. Ability to work independently with all levels of staff; strong multitasking and communication skills to convey complex solutions. Proficiency in functional and technical design, testing and troubleshooting. Skills & MBUSA Knowledge Project Management: ability to plan and develop small projects from conceptualization to implementation; design flexible, global solutions leveraging existing functionality; ability to guide and coach development teams. Other Skills: customer communication, organizational and presentation skills, knowledge of software/hardware/database management, multitasking, general knowledge of finance and accounting, MBUSA policies and procedures, and MBUSA-specific Parts Logistics processes. Knowledge of SAP modules: SD, MM; basic ABAP understanding; SAP Service Marketplace & SAP Notes; IDOC/EDI and testing; familiarity with MBUSA policies and procedures.
