About the Role
Account Directors serve as team leaders, advisors and partners to the internal team and client. You have a keen ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects across the agency, partnering with both internal and external stakeholders. You have a natural curiosity and are motivated by driving excellent results. You provide leadership in the development of strategic plans that will grow client business and generate revenue. You supervise, train, and motivate account team members to ensure a pervasive high level of performance.
This specific Account Director will join our growing Sports and Entertainment sector and work on some of the largest sporting events in history, including the 2026 World Cup. A deep understanding of fandom and an enthusiasm for football / soccer is essential.
What You'll Do
Strategically build client relationships and effectively negotiate & drive scopes of work
Responsible for overall client satisfaction, always hunting for solutions and innovative ideas
Help lead cross-functional teams inclusive of strategy, creative, technology and production to deliver integrated solutions and identify new business opportunities
Build strong, collaborative, and trusted relationships with creative and strategic partners
Effectively manage teams - coaching and inspiring the growth and development of junior staff providing consistent feedback, training, and growth opportunities
Act as an open resource to the team, assessing ideas and encouraging people to push further
Monitor and communicate POV on current marketing and industry issues
Demonstrate responsibility and accountability for agency performance and flawless delivery
Powerful communicator, able to engender trust across all levels
What You'll Need
8+ years of agency experience including 3-5 years experience managing a team
Strong communication and excellent interpersonal skills
Understanding of the complex advertising landscape and how to bring together cohesive teams and programs to drive results
Commitment to ensuring creative excellence and output
Passionate about great work, your team and our business
A good listener - someone who reads people and a room (and adapts their style accordingly)
Diplomatic and empathetic leader
Natural and effective collaborator, insatiably curious, a lifelong learner
Experience with sports brands and fan engagement

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. $75,000 — $180,000 USD
