Overview
Account Director role at Ogilvy. This position will join our growing Sports and Entertainment sector and work on some of the largest sporting events in history, including the 2026 World Cup. A deep understanding of fandom and an enthusiasm for football / soccer is essential.

What You’ll Do
Strategically build client relationships and effectively negotiate & drive scopes of work
Be responsible for overall client satisfaction, always hunting for solutions and innovative ideas
Help lead cross-functional teams including strategy, creative, technology and production to deliver integrated solutions and identify new business opportunities
Build strong, collaborative, and trusted relationships with creative and strategic partners
Effectively manage teams – coaching and inspiring growth and development of junior staff with consistent feedback, training, and growth opportunities
Act as an open resource to the team, assess ideas and encourage teams to push further
Monitor and communicate POV on current marketing and industry issues
Demonstrate responsibility and accountability for agency performance and flawless delivery
Provide clear, powerful communication to engender trust across all levels
What You’ll Need
8+ years of agency experience including 3-5 years managing a team
Strong communication and excellent interpersonal skills
Understanding of the complex advertising landscape and how to bring cohesive teams and programs to drive results
Commitment to ensuring creative excellence and output
Passionate about great work, your team and our business
A good listener – reads people and a room and adapts style accordingly
Diplomatic and empathetic leader
Natural and effective collaborator, insatiably curious, a lifelong learner
Experience with sports brands and fan engagement

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. We offer a competitive benefits package. Pay Range: $75,000—$180,000 USD.
