This role involves leading electrical design and engineering efforts on mission-critical data center projects, providing on-site engineering support, and collaborating with project managers and stakeholders. Location:
Houston, TX (100% Travel to Project Sites) Schedule:
Varies by Project; Deployment Across Multiple Sites Compensation & Travel Hourly Range (Contract):
$75 – $95/hour (commensurate with experience and project scope). Annualized Equivalent (Full-Time):
$156,000 – $197,600 per year. Travel Allowances:
All travel expenses are fully covered, including flights, lodging, rental car or mileage, and daily per diem for meals. Benefits (Full-Time):

Primary Function The Electrical PE will provide engineering expertise, project leadership, and technical oversight on data center electrical systems. This role involves full project lifecycle support—from design review and compliance to on-site deployment and commissioning. Key Responsibilities Lead electrical design and engineering efforts on mission-critical data center projects. Conduct design reviews, calculations, and technical assessments to ensure code compliance and project accuracy. Provide on-site engineering support during construction, installation, and commissioning phases. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Develop and stamp engineering documents, specifications, and reports as required. Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical system issues in real time. Support multiple projects by redeploying quickly as assignments are completed. Qualifications Active
Professional Engineer (PE) license
in Electrical Engineering (Texas preferred; multi-state a plus). Minimum
5+ years of experience in data center or mission-critical electrical systems . Proven expertise in power distribution, switchgear, UPS, generators, and grounding systems. Experience with NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and local electrical codes. Strong project leadership and collaboration skills. Willingness to travel
