Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager with a strong background in engineering and manufacturing to lead and optimize plant performance across safety, quality, delivery, and cost. This role requires a strong background in manufacturing operations, with proven experience applying Lean and Six Sigma principles to drive efficiency and eliminate waste. The Operations Manager will oversee daily production, resource allocation, and workflow, while coaching supervisors and frontline teams to build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate brings hands-on leadership, a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and the ability to partner across engineering, maintenance, and cross-functional teams to support new products, capital projects, and process reliability.
Responsibilities
Implement and monitor
Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives
to reduce waste and improve productivity. This would include working cross functional coordination and a hands-on approach.
Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) across safety, cost, quality, service, and people.
Develop and enforce operational standard work polices and manuals.
Identify opportunities for process automation, technology adoption, and operational excellence.
Lead, mentor, and develop frontline supervisors and team members to build high-performing teams.
Support capital projects and new product introductions in collaboration with engineering.
Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues.
Ensure strict adherence to environmental, health, and safety standards.
Lead and manage daily manufacturing operations to meet production, quality, and safety targets.
Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management to maximize efficiency.
Collaborate with Maintenance teams to ensure smooth operational performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
(Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field required).
5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations , with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and supply chain principles.
Demonstrated experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent leadership, communication, and team development skills.
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and data-driven decision-making.
Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
The expected salary range for this position is $85,000-$100,000 annually. The actual compensation will be determined by experience and other factors permitted by the law.
