QA Lab Lead — 2nd Shift (Food Testing)
— Quality Assurance Elk Grove Village, IL, US Salary information: $24-$26/hr Schedule: Mon-Thu 3:30p-2:00am Type of Job: Contract to Permanent Location: Elk Grove Village, IL At this time, Astrix cannot transfer nor sponsor a work Visa for this position. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Responsibilities
Lead our food quality efforts on the 2nd shift; perform hands-on lab testing and mentor a growing QA team. Perform routine and non-routine testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished products to ensure safety and quality. Conduct quality testing and monitor product deviations. Maintain lab documentation, COAs, and sample control programs. Calibrate and maintain lab equipment; manage supplies. Train and mentor QA Technicians; drive lab improvements. Enforce food safety standards and recommend solutions for recurring issues. Qualifications
Experience in food quality/lab testing and documentation Knowledge of GMP, SSOP, HACCP; SQF certification a plus Reliable, able to work independently, and mentor others Bachelor’s degree preferred Benefits & Details
