is looking for a highly motivated engineering professional to join our Interiors Responsibility Center South Carolina team as a
Mechanical and Structural Manager
in
North Charleston, SC . This position is part of the Interiors Responsibility Center South Carolina (IRCSC) and is aligned primarily to 787 Program statement of work. The IRCSC is responsible for the design and fabrication of many of the interior components on the 787 aircraft. The selected candidate will be managing design engineering teams responsible for new design development, sustaining engineering, production support and aftermarket support for Interiors commodities. Position Responsibilities: Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Mechanical & Structural Engineering. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace/Aeronautical or Materials Science) 5+ years of experience on an aerospace engineering design team (development, design and manufacture of aircraft) 1+ years experience leading a team, formally or informally 1+ years of experience managing projects and utilizing standard project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Gantt charts, MS PowerPoint, status charts, resource load charts) Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 1+ year experience with CATIA V5 and/or ENOVIA is desired 1+ year experience collaborating across multiple business units, functions and sites is preferred 3+ years experience leading a team, formally or informally, is preferred 3+ years Payloads Design Experience Drug Free Workplace:
