The Senior Manufacturing Engineer specializes in Fabrication for New Product Development (NPD) within a manufacturing setting. The role involves working with new technologies and automated equipment to build technical skills, serving as the Fabrication expert on NPD teams, and collaborating with Present Product groups as projects transition to production. This position would be working in a hands-on manufacturing environment where safety & quality are of upmost importance. Key responsibilities include: Core team member representing Manufacturing Engineering (Fabrication) on a key New Product Development (NPD) project Collaborate with a cross-functional NPD team and lead efforts focusing on DFM/DFA as well as selection of appropriate manufacturing technologies and processes Fill project management and technical expert roles on critical new automated equipment purchases Support cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and other continuous improvement projects as required in support of the fabrication business unit Focus on safety within the manufacturing environment Provide technical support as a subject matter expert for production support engineering, maintenance, and operations Expedite equipment and tooling repairs with a sense of urgency Specify and install new capital equipment as required Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or related 5-10 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment Understanding of complex integrated manufacturing systems Expert understanding of capabilities and limitations of conventional sheet metal cutting, bending, and forming techniques Understanding of Fluid Power systems (Hydraulic and Pneumatic) Understanding of equipment safety, functional safety and risk assessment and safety validation process Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and proactively create contingency plans Must be able to work with a sense of urgency and under pressure Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of PLC systems and ability to troubleshoot Understanding of Robotic systems (Fanuc preferred) Basic understanding of electrical concepts and controls Experience with sheet metal fabrication We Value Our Employees By Providing
