An established design firm is seeking a
Senior Electrical Engineer
to join their team in the
Atlanta area . This role will focus on the design and coordination of electrical systems for
commercial, retail, and mixed-use buildings . The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise along with leadership capabilities to support project delivery and mentor junior staff. Key Responsibilities
Design building electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm.
Conduct system analysis, load calculations, and equipment selection.
Prepare construction documents and technical specifications.
Apply relevant building codes and standards.
Coordinate closely with in-house architecture and engineering teams to meet project goals and deadlines.
Manage or support multiple active projects.
Provide mentorship within the electrical engineering team.
Participate in occasional site visits and client meetings.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
PE license in Georgia (required).
Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Ideally someone with 10 years of experience in building electrical system design, with a focus on commercial, retail, or mixed-use projects.
Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
Revit experience strongly preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; team-oriented leadership style.
