Overview
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, serving the culturally diverse community of Western Queens, is seeking a full-time board certified Psychiatrist for the Director of Ambulatory Behavioral Health Services. This leadership position will be responsible for the day to day operations of our Integrated Outpatient Adult Services, which includes: Adult PHP, Adult IOP, ACT, OnTrack, TMS and general outpatient psychiatric services. This large multi-disciplinary service cares for over 5,000 patients per year. Oversight includes the recruitment, training, supervision and evaluation of all staff. A strong academic interest in teaching and supervising psychiatric residents is essential. Responsibilities
Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of Integrated Outpatient Adult Services (Adult PHP, IOP, ACT, OnTrack, TMS, and general outpatient psychiatric services). Oversee recruitment, training, supervision, and performance evaluation of all staff within the service. Engage in teaching and supervision of psychiatric residents; participate in academic activities and collaboration with Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Qualifications
MD degree and board certification in Psychiatry. 3–5 years of leadership experience in a behavioral health/psychiatry setting. Current New York State medical license, Medicaid number, and DEA number. Eligibility for faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Health System based on qualifications. Compensation and Benefits
