Overview
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst is seeking a full-time Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician. We seek a highly motivated physician to work with an urban, ethnically diverse, underserved population in a dynamic academic setting. The Department of Pediatrics and its division of Ambulatory Pediatrics serves as a referral center for developmental pediatrics within our community network of pediatricians, with more than 10,000 patients served per year. The hospital is accessible by public transportation and car from NYC, New Jersey and Long Island.
Responsibilities
Provide clinical care and teaching in developmental behavioral pediatrics for child and adolescent populations across programmatic/clinical needs including ADHD, ASD, learning disabilities, emotional disorders, and intellectual disability, in outpatient settings.
Incorporate diverse patient populations, including underserved, lower socio-economic, and immigrant families.
Supervise and mentor medical students and residents; provide didactic teaching and guest lectures.
Engage in opportunities for research, curriculum development, and quality improvement; grow clinical research skills.
Qualifications
Board eligible or board certified in pediatrics (BE/BC); experience in inpatient pediatrics and/or pediatric hospitalist work.
New York State license and DEA.
Offer The position offers a faculty appointment commensurate with credentials, experience, and qualifications. The salary range is $180,000-$185,000 plus benefits and faculty practice distributions throughout the academic year.
