Required: Experience selling machinery/equipment (snowplows, tractors, sweepers, sewer trucks, pavers, etc.) Preferred: Experience selling to municipal markets (cities, states, counties) Preferred: Asphalt industry background Stepp Manufacturing specializes in asphalt maintenance equipment, aiming to be a leading global supplier. We seek a self-motivated individual to generate sales within the East Coast territory, including NY, NJ, CT, RI, MA, PA, and surrounding states. The role involves maintaining relationships with established dealers, sourcing new dealers, and promoting our product lines such as Stepp Mfg., Kasi Infrared, and VSS Macropaver. Compensation includes a base salary and a graduation-based commission structure; starting wages are negotiable based on experience. Essential Functions:

Focus on municipal customers like State DOTs, County Highway Departments, City Street Departments, Toll Roads, etc., with minor focus on asphalt contractors. Build and maintain customer relationships and database. Travel within the territory, primarily PA, NY, or MA, to meet prospects and customers. Conduct cold calls, face-to-face meetings, and provide product literature and specifications. Assist customers in writing bid specifications and submitting bids to government agencies. Participate in trade shows and industry associations such as APWA, MSSA. Schedule and demonstrate equipment to customers, provide after-sales support, and deliver products. Monitor industry competitors and market conditions to understand customer needs. Offer feedback for product development and improvement. Perform other duties necessary for business operations.
