ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Input all data into the Estimating Workbook. Interface with customer for pertinent information regarding each bid. Follow up with customer or business development manager on status of each proposal submitted until expiration date or until a selection has been made. Obtain feedback (competition, price, schedule, technical, etc.) on each proposal once a decision is made and forward to bid and proposal and business development managers. Perform and/or coordinate detailed proposal write-ups, when required. Create response letter for each assigned proposal. Responsible for the timely completion and submittal of each assigned proposal in coordination with business development manager. GENERAL

Associate level requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering. General level requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering plus 5+ years’ experience. Senior level requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering plus 10+ years’ experience. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills, blueprint reader, and some materials background. Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and ability to perform technical writing. Strong computer background, with experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Project. Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills are required. Must be safety oriented, use personal protective equipment when needed, and follow all safety and plant rules and regulations. Must work well within a team environment and have strong attendance and housekeeping standards. WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Workspace is indoors in a temperature controlled, generally quiet office building. There may be occasional sounds from equipment or work activity on the manufacturing production floor nearby. Ability to sit for extended periods and perform desk-based computer tasks. There may be occasional lifting of under 25lbs. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
