Overview

Senior Field Service Engineer Power systems at ABB. This position reports to the Field Service Manager and is based on remote work with field assignments. Responsibilities

Installs, modifies, tests, repairs, or inspects company products and equipment including low voltage and medium voltage circuit breakers, Automatic Voltage Regulators (AVR), MV switchgear, protection relays, transformers, and rotating machinery. Performs or coordinates complex and diverse engineering activities related to field service and commissioning projects. Interprets technical drawings and schematics; implements field changes as necessary to reflect work performed on site. Gains product and technical knowledge through factory or third-party training, manuals, and other resources. Troubleshoots and repairs equipment using technical experience; provides on-site and remote technical advice to customers. Collaborates with project managers to coordinate site activities and may assume the role of site manager on some projects. Qualifications

Five or more years’ experience in marine power generation and power distribution with focus on MV switchgear, circuit breakers, protection relay systems, and AVR systems. Strong knowledge of protection relays and excitation. Bachelor’s Degree (4 years) in electrical engineering or related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with marine/offshore work environment and procedures. What's In It For You

Base salary range is between $79,800 and $148,200, determined by qualifications and experience. ABB benefits include health, life and disability coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, and other voluntary programs as described in the ABB benefits literature. About ABB
